Did anybody see the TV programme 'The Bill' this week, it showed a family having a Nanny who they had hired independently of an Agency. It turned out her references were false, and she left the baby on her own for 1 hour, and took drugs near the baby.
if the family would have gone to a good agency all her references, medical certificate and police checks should have been done before introducing her to the family.
